Kudos to Stardock for making it to the top of Yahoo's OS Customization tips for Windows XP.

HA!! WHy am I not surprised that the writer made the same mistake as every other reviewer of WB5. He still claims that WB runs not as part of XP but in addition to, while he claims that StyleXP runs as part of the OS. He also makes it sound like StyleXP allows you to change the configuration of your styles like WB does, but we all know that's not true. And why am I not surprised that a story on Yahoo news doesn't include DX in the list of Widget apps?!?!

I don't think anyone here will ever be satisfied with an article written about a Stardock app.

PC Magazine had two mentions of ObjectDock this month
One is at the very bottom of this link:

I can't find teh other on-line.

At least when the blurb is short, they can't screw it up too badly.

Definitely not as long as the reviewer makes incorrect statements about the application while in the same breath making another inferior application out as a more robust or integrated solution. I love the fact that StyleXP has actually graduated to the status of application when it is nothing more than an in memory patch of an address. Kind of sad that their marketing has been so successful while people still don't seem to know the first thing about WB except that it can skin windows.

I wasn't too thrilled with the article. It intentionally left out DesktopX in the widget category which I thought was kind of petty.

It would be like Stardock doing a widget guide that ignores Konfabulator.

You mean Yahoo! widget engine or whatever goofy name it goes by, right?

Yah, I found the review was weak at best and the comments made about StyleXP are just absurd. If I didn't already know it would be a complete waste of time and energy I would disagree with his assertions in a public place. But to be honest the last thing I want or need is an all out war with the my hack is better than WB fanbois.
